The leisure travel industry is a major contributor to our local economy, and is a significant source of employment for Newfoundland and Labrador. Leisure travelers typically spend money on transportation, accommodation, food and beverage, entertainment, and souvenirs, which generates significant revenue for our local economy.

 

Working in partnership with Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, Legendary Coasts of Eastern Newfoundland supports leisure travel in several ways:

• Marketing and Promotion: We use various marketing channels, such as digital, print, and events, to promote our region and increase awareness among potential travellers. We attend leisure travel shows, representing our members, distributing your marketing literature, and helping travellers to plan itineraries that include your experiences and products.

• Destination Development: We work with local stakeholders, such as hotels, attractions, and restaurants, to develop and improve our destination's tourism offerings, making it more attractive to visitors.

• Information Provision: We provide valuable information to travellers such as travel guides, maps, and brochures to help them plan their trip and make informed decisions about where to go, what to see, and what to do while they are visiting our region.

• Destination Management: We are responsible for managing and coordinating various elements of our destination, such as visitor services, transportation, and tourism infrastructure, to ensure that travellers have a positive experience.

• Industry Support: We support the travel trade industry by providing travel trade professionals with the tools and resources they need to effectively sell our destination to their clients.
