Travel Trade
Travel trade refers to the commercial and business activities that facilitate travel and tourism. This includes tour operators, travel agents, airlines, hotel chains, tourist boards, and other entities involved in the creation, promotion, and sale of travel and tourism products and services.
The travel trade industry helps bring together suppliers of travel products and services and customers, and plays a crucial role in the growth and development of the tourism sector.

Partnering with travel trade professionals helps us to increase presence and demand for eastern Newfoundland and Labrador in provincial, national, and international marketplaces.
In partnership with Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, our team works with travel trade professionals in a variety of ways to promote our destination and increase tourism. Some common ways we collaborate include:

-
Sales and marketing initiatives: We partner with travel trade professionals to promote our region through joint marketing campaigns, trade shows, and familiarization (fam) tours.
-
Product development: We work with travel trade professionals to develop new tourism products and services, such as packages or itineraries, that showcase our region in an appealing way.
-
Industry education: We provide training and educational opportunities for travel trade professionals to learn more about our region, its attractions, and its culture.
-
Joint research: We collaborate with travel trade professionals to conduct market research to understand consumer preferences and travel trends.

Working together, we aim to create a comprehensive and attractive travel experience for visitors and support the growth and development of eastern Newfoundland.
